I Endorse Gina Hinojosa for Governor of Texas

I’m endorsing Gina Hinojosa for Governor of Texas.

Gina is a state representative, civil rights and union lawyer, former Austin ISD school board president, and a Rio Grande Valley native who got into politics the way more people should: they tried to close her son’s school, so she ran, won, and kept it open.

Her agenda is exactly right for Texas: save public schools by ending the voucher scam, the STAAR test, and state takeovers, pay teachers what they deserve, send every household a $1,500 refund from the hoarded Rainy Day Fund, make data centers pay their own way instead of sticking Texans with the bill, stop private equity from buying up homes, and lower healthcare costs in the state with the most uninsured kids in the country.

After more than a decade of Greg Abbott running Texas for his billionaire donors, the polls show a single-digit race. Texans finally have a real shot at a governor who works for them.
